ANDREA GUAZZIERI
Director, Architect DPLG
Born in Venice in 1984, Andrea Guazzieri is an architect based in Paris. He studied at the IUAV University of Venice and ENSA Paris-La Villette before obtaining his architecture degree in 2010 from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), Netherlands.
Andrea worked for several international firms, gaining solid experience in managing projects of various scales and complexities. In the Netherlands, he collaborated with Mecanoo before joining LAN Architecture in Paris, where he held the position of project manager for seven years. He led major projects such as the Polaris Block in Nantes, the Leonard de Vinci Institute in Nanterre, the Maillon Theater in Strasbourg, and the renovation of the Grand Palais in Paris.
In 2015, he founded GFC (Ground for Changes), with which he won the competition for the Naples Science Museum. In 2018, he was awarded the European 40 Under 40 prize, recognizing emerging young architectural talents. In 2020, he established AGA (Andrea Guazzieri Architecture), an agency now comprising a team of about ten collaborators.
With AGA, Andrea explores two main focuses: the design of bioclimatic buildings and rehabilitation projects. His approach combines innovation and respect for the uniqueness of places, addressing contemporary challenges while revitalizing existing structures.
Alongside his professional practice, Andrea is actively involved in academia. He has taught at IUAV University of Venice and the Architectural Association in London and regularly participates in conferences and publications on contemporary architectural issues.
